We'd like to say a big thank you to Robert Scobie and all the staff at Tapa for giving us a great night out in June. A little over a month ago a friendly and varied group of 27 descended on this exciting new restaurant for the first Peartree IT fund-raising meal....
It proved to be an extremely enjoyable and successful evening. After a little pre-dinner drink and a chance to mingle, we were soon sitting down to a tapas feast. A steady stream of tasty and varied dishes arrived from the kitchen and we all tucked in! The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were very friendly and attentive. During our meal we were entertained by Jesus Cano who serenaded us with a mixture of Spanish guitar and some popular classics.
As well as great food and good company the evening was great value for money at only £20 a head, plus we raised over £320 for Peartree IT into the bargain – a great result all round.
We'd like to say a big thank you to Leith Festival for donating tickets for our raffle (and for making us welcome at the Leith Festival launch party following our meal – see http://www.leithfestival.com/) and to everyone else who donated prizes for the raffle – all much appreciated.
And finally many thanks to the lucky gang that came along to be fed and watered on the night. You made the night a great success and we look forward to seeing you all at our next gourmet evening – because we'd definitely like to do it again!
Tapa can be found at Wishart's Warehouse, 19 Shore Place, just behind the shore in Leith. We recommend you try it! Find out more at http://www.tapaedinburgh.co.uk/.
