We're very pleased to announce that Tim recently won the 2008 Standard Life Chairman's Award for Education in the Community. This award is given for outstanding individual or team-based contribution to education in the community and was granted in recognition of Tim's contribution to the setup of Peartree IT and to our first IT project, working with ICCES in Ghana. He was also a finalist in the Individual Fundraising category. Not a bad night really!



The annual Standard Life Chairman's Awards are presented each year to Standard Life staff from around the world to recognise their contribution to the community. Awards are made in a number of categories including fundraising and volunteering, as well as Education in the Community.

The awards ceremony took place at the Hilton Grosvenor Hotel on 12th June. It was a fabulous evening and gave Tim a chance to practice his executive networking skills – although how successful he was remains uncertain at this stage!

As well as being awarded with a beautiful glass prize, Tim was given a £1000 donation to Peartree IT. The award and the donation are of course a real boost to the charity and to the ICCES project and we are very happy to receive this recognition.
