About Peartree IT
Peartree IT began in 2005 as a response to the "Make Poverty History" campaign. Starting from the belief that Information Technology (IT) can be a force for change in the developing world, our aim is to create IT opportunities in developing communities. By expanding IT education we can empower individuals to access knew knowledge and skills and improve their employment prospects.
Since 2005 we have established ourselves as a registered Scottish Charity and we are now working on our first project with ICCES (Integrated Community Centres for Employable Skills) in rural Ghana. Peartree IT is a grassroots member of SCVO (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations). The Peartree IT directors are Timothy Hendry, Caroline Wagstaff, Katie Banton and Grace Jordan. We are all currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland. If you would like to contact us please use our 'Contact Us' page or email us at info@peartreeproject.org.uk. |
